News in brief
Partners in art Hiscox has just signed an exclusive deal to be the lead sponsor of Damien Hirst’s first exhibition of works from his private collection. It’s the latest link between the two – Hirst’s The Skull Beneath the Skin (left) forms a part of the Hiscox Collection.
The show, titled ‘Murderme Collection: In the Darkest Hour, There May Be Light’, will be exhibited at the Serpentine Gallery in London from
25 November 2006 to 28 January 2007.
With Bonfire Night just round the corner, events organisers need to ensure that the only oohs and aahs coming from the crowd will be directed at the display, rather than, say, a stray firework heading right at them.
While accidents do happen, event organisers can minimise the risk to their guests, team and reputation by providing effective insurance with Insurex Expo-Sure. As part of the Hiscox Group, Insurex can arrange specialist event insurance for everything from conferences, exhibitions and one-off firework displays to sporting events, weddings and other specialist events.

Austyn Tusler is coming home to Hiscox. After a three-year stint running AIG’s High Net Worth team, he’s rejoining the company as Head of the UK Art and Private Clients Division (APCD), running the 506 and 606 books.
Previously Underwriting Manager of High Value Household at Hiscox, Austyn brings plenty of experience with him, which will give him a leg up in driving the APCD business forward. European Household, Specie and Fine Art at Lloyd’s Library will still report to Charles Dupplin in his new role as Chairman of APCD and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions.
