Awareness
APC: When asked which five personal lines insurers came to mind, 68% named Hiscox, which was the highest ranked. 28% of brokers mentioned Hiscox first.
PSC: Top of mind awareness of Hiscox as a commercial insurer has risen from 16% of brokers in 2008 to 27% in 2010.
Superb Service
PSC: 28% of brokers say they've received 'superb service' from Hiscox, which is 10% more than the closest competitor.
APC: Of the brokers who have received 'superb service' from an insurer, 50% said that it was from Hiscox.
Working relationships
APC: Brokers value their working relationship with Hiscox – they rated their appreciation of Hiscox's personal contact at nearly 8 out of 10 on average.
Claims service
PSC: Speed of response on claims sets Hiscox apart – 46% of brokers identified quick turnaround as the main way Hiscox handles claims better than other insurers.
APC: Hiscox's ability to 'provide broad protection to cover all circumstances' is rated at 8.5 out of 10 by brokers.
Marketing and comms
PSC: 80% of respondents recalled seeing or receiving marketing literature from Hiscox in the past six months.
49% of respondents recall communications via email – an increase of 24 points on 2009.
General satisfaction
PSC: Satisfaction with Hiscox as a commercial insurer among brokers remains high. The overall satisfaciton score is 7.8/10, compared with 7.5 in 2009.
When asked what comes to mind when Hiscox is mentioned, 19% of PSC brokers said PI insurance.
76% of APC brokers gave Hiscox 8, 9 or 10 out of 10 when rating their satisfaction on overall service.
